Double Time QAL Fabrics

I had every intention of doing a solid version of the Double Time Quilt. I thought it would be a fun challenge for me. We even created a twenty piece Kona Bundle for just that purpose. But then I pulled out some of my stash fabric to find some coloured prints for Fern’s Double Time Quilt. It’s been a really long time since I pulled fabric for a quilt and it’s one of my favourite parts. Once I started looking over my colour-sorted bins of fat quarters, there was no turning back to a plain solid version for me. Maybe one day!

I am incredibly lucky to have a deep stash that I’ve collected over the last seventeen years of the workroom. There are just way too many fun memories, prints and colours to not make use of what I already have for this Quilt Along project. My inspiration is this navy & orange floral. I’m pretty sure this is from a trip to quilt shop on a sewing adventure long ago. Using those colours, I’ve pulled about 80 prints from my collection to make this new Double Time Quilt.
